Cabral Gold is a junior building a low-cost, fully-funded heap-leach gold starter at Cuiu Cuiu, Brazil — about 85% built, first pour targeted early Q4 2026. The updated PFS shows a 78% IRR with spot gold running roughly three times its all-in cost. So the medium and long calls are a BUY. The short call is HOLD: a single-asset junior and an unconfirmed technical entry.

Re-presenting the Donatien Investment report on Cabral Gold (TSXV:CBR), a Donatien Pick, dated 4 August 2026, at C$1.04. Short-term HOLD; medium- and long-term BUY.

A gold developer nearing first pour

Cabral Gold is a Canadian-listed gold developer whose sole asset is the district-scale Cuiu Cuiu project in northern Brazil. Its near-term business is a small, low-capital, gold-in-oxide heap-leach starter — mining shallow oxidised ore and recovering gold on lined pads, a simple and cheap route that lets a junior reach production for a fraction of the capital a conventional mill needs. The initial cost is just under thirty-eight million US dollars, already fully funded, the plant is about eighty-five per cent built, and commissioning began in July with first gold targeted for early in the fourth quarter. Business quality is a fair seventy for a developer this close to production.

Deeply in-the-money economics

The economics are the reason it is a longer-horizon buy. The updated pre-feasibility study shows an internal rate of return of seventy-eight per cent and a net present value of nearly seventy-four million US dollars, struck at a conservative twenty-five-hundred-dollar gold price — well below spot. All-in sustaining cost is about twelve hundred and ten dollars an ounce against a spot price near four thousand and fifty, so the starter runs at roughly three times its all-in cost and stays deeply in-the-money even on a large gold pullback. At today's spot the study's net present value swells to about one hundred and thirty-eight million dollars. And it sits on top of a much larger multi-million-ounce hard-rock resource the cash-flowing starter is designed to fund. So the medium and long calls are a buy.

Short HOLD: entry not yet confirmed

So why hold for the short term? This is a single-asset junior, and the report wants a confirmed entry before adding. The fundamental case is met, but the technical and catalyst triggers are not yet, and gold's short-term tape is only just basing rather than breaking out — so the short call is a half-size hold, not a fresh buy. The report also flags valuation-ceiling and dilution as caution items. Execution is the swing factor: a clean commissioning and an early-fourth-quarter first pour would re-rate Cabral from developer to producer and let the market start pricing the hard-rock district — the path to the two-dollar bull case. The bear case is eighty cents if commissioning slips or gold falls further.

What could go wrong

Single-asset junior; execution + funding risk. Gold price swings; further dilution possible. Bear ~C$0.80 if commissioning slips or gold falls.
